Welcome

Year 11 Pupil & Parent Study Support Evening

15th March 2018

17:30 | Hall

Having been re-arranged from the previous date due to snowy conditions and the school being shut, here is a reminder that we are running a “Study Support Evening” this Thursday 15th March - for Yr 11 pupils and crucially, parents and carers of Yr 11 pupils.

This year group are preparing for more examinations covering far more content than Year 11 pupils have faced for many years.

We have almost completed covering the content in school; the biggest task now is for the young people to absorb, remember and then use it and this is what the session (5.45-6.45pm with refreshments from 5.30pm) will focus on. Different study/revision styles, making best use of time, structuring an effective revision timetable and work-life balance for emotional wellbeing will all feature.

The role of parents is a tricky one, but the right support has been shown to make up to 2 grades difference and again, this will be explored.

Please let us know if you can attend so we have enough materials printed.
