Year 11 & Beyond

General Exam Help & Advice

Year 11 is a unique time in our pupil’s lives. They are our senior students and our best ambassadors, embodying the values we hold so dear at Becket’s.

It is an exciting time as they look forward to the next stage in their journey, but can also be a time of anxiety as they contemplate leaving and face their public examinations.

This page contains information pupils and parents may find helpful. As ever, the whole staff are here to help so please contact us at school with any queries or concerns.

PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR THE 2020 EASTER REVISION CHALLENGE as an example of what to expect in Spring 2021

The Year 11 Tutor Team are the first port of call for pupils: Miss Fozzard is Year Leader; Mr Brown, Mr Duckett and Ms Atkinson are also working closely with Year 11, as are Mr Brooks and Ms Fitzgerald in a Careers capacity

Year 11 Exam Preparation Journey

We are busy preparing the pupils (assuming no further lock-downs in which case alternative arrangements will be made) for a Mock Examination period in November 2020.

Whilst we will not know for sure for possibly some time to come whether exams will take place next summer or centre grading be used as the assessment method, our pupils know that everey day of learning is vital and that every piece completed can be used for future evidence if needed, as well as thoroughly preparing them for summer examinations.
