Welfare and Safeguarding at St Thomas à Becket

We have a very strong Welfare and Safeguarding Team at St Thomas à Becket. For any welfare concerns please contact your child’s form tutor or Year Leader in the first instance.
Year Leaders

Year 7 – Mrs Howie

Year 8 – Mrs Richardson

Year 9 – My Lyons

Year 10 – Mrs Horodczuk

Year 11 – Miss Fozzard

Safeguarding issues can be discussed with Mrs Mason – Designated Safeguarding Lead or with Mrs Watson and Mrs Dickerson, our Safeguarding and Welfare Officers.

We work closely with pupils in school to ensure they know where they can get help and support from. We also feel it is important that our Parents and Carers know something of the work we do and how we may be able to support them as well as their children.

To this end we have created a Welfare area on our School Website. To access the different sections please click on the tabs attached to this page.

We have placed a number of links there to various agencies and sources of information. Some are designed to support parents, some students and some both. There are also additional contact details for other support agencies
